How do we help students develop as writers in the discipline? What does the research say about effective approaches for supporting students in advancing their ability to craft an effective argument in the field? How can we promote students’ writing without burying ourselves in grading? This FLC, which met during AY 2016-17, explored these questions, helping one another design effective strategies for teaching disciplinary writing in courses and programs.
